Forest Stewardship Council’s
Chain of Custody Certification
The FSC’s mission is to promote environmental management of the world’s forests by setting international standards for accountability and accrediting participating pulp providers and mills through independent third-party organizations. The FSC is acknowledged worldwide by environmental organizations as the premier network for promoting responsible forest resource management.
Any product made of wood pulp or paper can be certified as long as the wood used originates from FSC-certified sources. FSC certification helps to eliminate habitat destruction and water pollution that sometimes accompanies logging by encouraging consumers to use wood products produced using environmentally-responsible methods.
As a chain-of-custody-certified printer, Print NW can assure the origin on FSC-approved paper products, allowing them to use FSC-certified logos on appropriate pieces printed in their facility.
